OMILANI is a graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She is an AfroFilipina powerhouse blending art, scholarship, and advocacy who has definitely proven she can hold center stage. As the founder of the Latinegras and AfroFilipina brands, she continues to break boundaries as a performing artist, runway model, advocate, philanthropist, and scholar. As a top 7 GRAMMY Showcase Finalist, Ms. Alarcon combines her love for community, music and fashion into her comic book project AfroFilipina Shopaholic which has the distinction of being the first AfroFilipina comic book superhero and protagonist. Omilani continues to leave her mark on the world through scholarly publications, albums, and unforgettable performances.
